Ugh... but, yay!

I am so, so, so tired of this horrible winter. I actually saw a book today while shelving about seasonal depression (aka the lovely northern winters for me), and paged through it. I try my hardest to keep up with everything that we usually do with getting out, etc but that all goes on the back burner when you literally slide out your front door and down the street on a sheet of ice.

Maddie has now had two consecutive days off from school, and I am starting to think that she will be in school until the end of June. Yuck. On the upside, Faith is just in heaven with her "bestest friend" at home with her to play. When I left for work this morning, the three of them were playing Aladdin's Reading Quest on the computer and they had their intricate set-up downstairs with all of their "shops" and Disney figurines out to play "going to Disney World."

Ironically, we ARE going to Disney World on Saturday!!!!! Oh, I am so very excited. Our girlies don't even know it, and I am beyond excited/emotional about telling them a few minutes before we start our drive on Saturday. Dan has had this plan in his head since the summer, and he picked out a princess card from the store in August. Maddie is reading like a champion these days, and so we wrote it very legibily and to the effect that the princesses are awaiting their arrival in Disney World and to get their bags ready. We're going to have her read it to her sisters.I am so excited to see their faces, that I nearly start to cry every time I think about it!

These girls are just like their Momma. They live and breathe Disney. Their imaginations are fueled by all things Disney, and they have been asking incessantly since our first trip two years ago about when they are going to go back again to visit. And, funny enough, Dan is such a Disney aficionado himself. He is so beyond excited to go!

That is an awesome idea! I hope you have a safe and wonderful trip!

We could have gone to Disney for a week and only missed 1 day of school. This winter is crazy.

I realized after I read the list that only one recipe was made with a crock pot. Google "crock pot roast Lipton onion soup mushroom soup". It was easy and delicious.
